When we started working with the Hearing Health Foundation, we had no idea about the epidemic of early hearing loss we’re seeing in younger people due to headphones. People in their late 30s have the damage you’d expect in your sixties. And you can’t reverse it. We also learned how hearing loss leads to Alzheimer’s. It’s like headphones are today’s cigarettes. One look at your own or your children’s gaming headphones, and air pods, and you can feel the danger. We needed a simple, graphic image that could communicate all of this and stay with people. And we needed them to see it where they are wearing headphones: commuting. We’re excited to help HHF make a difference by getting this conversation going in culture.
